CVE-2022-1525Network attack vector

Unauthenticated web access-control bypass via client-side checks

Published Sep 6, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Authentication bypass in Cognex 3D-A1000 firmware 1.0.3 (3354) and earlier allows remote attackers to bypass web access controls. Password-protected web elements enforce authorization only in client-side source code, which attackers can inspect and modify instead of passing a server-side check. No login or user interaction is required; successful exploitation exposes or changes data otherwise protected by the web interface without interrupting service.
