UI spoofing in Mozilla Thunderbird before 91.9 allows remote attackers to misrepresent an email's encryption or signature status. The message security-status display retains an attached message's encryption or signature state and reapplies it to the parent view. Exploitation requires a crafted email and user interaction to open the nested message and return; the result is false trust metadata, not message modification.
