Path traversal in Illumina Local Run Manager 1.3 through 3.1 allows remote attackers to upload files outside the intended directory. The network-accessible IIS web interface permits uploaded content to escape the intended directory, and its configuration allows that content to execute. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants operating-system-level control over instrument settings, software, and data.
