Heap corruption via ANGLE use-after-free
Published Jul 26, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use after free in ANGLE in Google Chrome before 101.0.4951.41 allows remote attackers to corrupt heap memory via crafted HTML. The defect occurs in ANGLE’s Vulkan onBeginTransformFeedback path, but public vendor material does not disclose which object’s lifetime is mishandled. The attacker requires a user to load the page, and the published record establishes heap corruption without specifying a final post-corruption capability.
