CVE-2022-1468Network attack vector

Authenticated service delays via undisclosed iControl REST requests

Published May 5, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Resource exhaustion in affected F5 BIG-IP branches allows remote authenticated users to delay iControl REST request processing. F5 has not disclosed the request form or the iControl REST operation that consumes resources, so the concrete parsing or execution defect is unknown. All releases in the 11.6.x, 12.1.x, 13.1.x, 14.1.x, 15.1.x, 16.1.x, and 17.0.x branches are affected; at least guest-role iControl REST access is required, and the reported consequence is request delay rather than a system crash or data compromise.
