Administrator-stored XSS via unsanitized email settings
Published May 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in WPCargo Track & Trace before 6.9.5 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through email settings. The plugin stores wpcargo_mail_domain, wpcargo_mail_settings, wpcargo_mail_to, wpcargo_email_cc, and wpcargo_email_bcc without adequate sanitization or output escaping. Administrator access is required even when unfiltered_html is disabled, and the saved payload executes when an affected setting is rendered.
