Stored XSS via unescaped tracking campaign attributes
Published May 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in E4J Vik Booking before 1.5.8 allows remote attackers to execute scripts by tricking an administrator into a forged request. The tracking-campaign save action accepts campaign name, key, and value fields without a CSRF check, then inserts them into HTML attributes without escaping. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to submit the forged form and later open Statistics Tracking Settings, where the stored payload executes in that administrator's browser.
