Credential disclosure via cached unmasked password fields
Published Jun 15, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Credential disclosure in Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager 2022.1.24 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to view passwords. The panel cache preserves a sensitive field's revealed state after the eye control exposes it, so reopening the panel redisplays the cleartext value instead of masking it. Exploitation requires physical proximity after a user reveals a stored value, and the consequence is visual disclosure without data modification or service interruption.
