Restricted-admin disclosure via missing permission checks
Published Apr 13, 2022 · Updated Dec 6, 2024
Improper privilege management in affected Mattermost releases allows remote authenticated users to read server logs and configuration. The affected API fails to enforce restricted custom-admin permissions before returning server logs and config.json contents. Mattermost has not identified the endpoint or published the faulty authorization logic; exploitation requires an authenticated member assigned a restricted custom administrator role.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
