Administrator-level stored XSS via unescaped frontend setting
Published Aug 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Richteam Coming Soon – Under Construction 1.1.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in visitors' browsers. The “More text information” setting accepts HTML without sanitization or output escaping and renders it on the public frontend in Coming Soon Mode. Administrator-level access is required to store the payload, and any visitor who opens the affected frontend triggers the injected script.
