Local privilege escalation in ZeroTier One before 1.8.8 on Windows allows local users to execute code with SYSTEM privileges. The Windows installer assigns overly broad permissions to the ProgramData\ZeroTier\One and installation directory trees, allowing low-privileged users to plant or replace files loaded by the privileged service. A low-privileged Windows account and a vulnerable MSI installation are required; Linux and macOS installations are not affected.
