Memory disclosure or crash via zero relocation index
Published Apr 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in radare2 before 5.6.8 allows context-dependent attackers to disclose memory or crash the process via a crafted NE file. In r_bin_ne_get_relocs, a zero relocation module index reaches modref[rel.index - 1], reading before the module-reference array. A victim must analyze the malformed executable; the result is process termination or disclosure of adjacent process memory.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
