Inherited property manipulation via unsafe deepExtend merge
Published Apr 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Prototype pollution in fullPage.js before 4.0.2 allows remote attackers to alter inherited object properties through crafted merge input. The globally exposed window.fp_utils.deepExtend utility recursively copies attacker-controlled keys without restricting prototype-modifying property names. Exploitation requires application code to pass attacker-controlled objects to the utility; consequences depend on properties later consumed by the page.
