Script execution via unsafe table-cell HTML parsing
Published Apr 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in hhurz tableExport.jquery.plugin before 1.25.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a user’s browser. The default onCellHtmlData path reads each table cell’s raw HTML and reparses it with jQuery.parseHTML without sanitizing event handlers or resource URLs. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled cell HTML and user-triggered export; injected code runs in the page origin and can expose session data.
