Reflected script execution via unsanitized image_url
Published May 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Photo Gallery by 10Web before 1.6.3 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser via a crafted image_url. The editimage_bwg AJAX action reflects the $_GET['image_url'] value into the response without adequate sanitization, allowing attacker-controlled markup or script to run in the browser that loads the response. Exploitation requires a victim to open an attacker-supplied URL; the demonstrated impact is browser-session data exposure or actions in that victim context, not direct server compromise.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
