Administrator-level stored XSS via unescaped Header Title
Published Jun 20, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in wpWax Post Grid, Slider & Carousel Ultimate before 1.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject script via Header Title. The plugin stores the Header Title setting and renders it in a published grid or carousel without sanitizing the input or escaping the output. Administrator-level access is required, but the flaw bypasses the unfiltered_html restriction and executes the payload in visitors' browser sessions.
