Stored script execution via unsanitized CAPTCHA settings
Published May 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in AITpro BulletProof Security before 6.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via CAPTCHA settings. The JTC-Lite CAPTCHA error-message setting stores administrator-supplied markup without sanitizing it or escaping it when rendered on the login page. Administrator-level access is required to save the payload, and script execution occurs in a visitor's browser after an incorrect CAPTCHA entry even when unfiltered_html is disabled.
