Path traversal in Inductive Automation Ignition 8.0.5 through 8.1.9 allows remote authenticated users to write arbitrary Gateway files. The Exchange config page's Import Package File handler extracts attacker-controlled ZIP entries without containing their paths inside the designated resource directory. Exploitation requires config-level access or a trusted config user who uploads the crafted archive, after which files can be placed anywhere the Gateway account can write and executed to run code.
