Authenticated server-side requests via unvalidated proxy URL
Published May 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SSRF in the HubSpot WordPress plugin before 8.8.15 allows remote authenticated users to send server-side requests through its proxy REST endpoint. The endpoint accepts the proxyUrl parameter without validating its destination and directs WordPress to request the supplied URL. The route requires a REST nonce and the edit_posts capability, granted to Contributors by default, while its blind response prevents direct viewing of fetched content.
