Browser code execution via unescaped import previews
Published Nov 15, 2024 · Updated Nov 15, 2024
Reflected XSS in phpIPAM before 1.4.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in a victim's browser via spreadsheet import. import-load-data.php copies unescaped CSV and XLS headings and cell values into records rendered by the import-preview endpoints. Exploitation requires high-privilege import access and victim interaction; the script runs in the phpIPAM origin and can read cookies or perform account actions.
