Administrator-session script execution via unescaped msg parameter
Published May 23, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in DuoGeek Domain Replace 1.3.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The plugin inserts the msg query parameter into an HTML attribute in domainreplace.php without sanitization or contextual escaping. Exploitation requires an administrator to open a crafted wp-admin/admin.php URL, exposing the administrator's WordPress session to script-driven actions and data access.
