Stored script execution via encoded Biography input
Published Jun 13, 2022 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Ultimate Member's Biography field in 2.3.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in profile viewers' browsers. The profile path decodes HTML entities from saved Biography input and reflects the result without sufficient sanitization and output escaping. An attacker who can edit a profile can store the payload; execution occurs when another user views that profile, enabling actions in the viewer's session.
