Spreadsheet formula execution via unsanitized exported fields
Published Jun 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
CSV injection in UDX Usability Dynamics WP-CRM 1.2.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute spreadsheet formulas via exported person fields. The CSV export preserves formula-leading Display Name, Phone Number, and Description values without validation or neutralization. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled person data and a user who exports and opens the CSV in a formula-executing application, where the payload runs with that user's privileges.
