Subscriber-level SQL injection via unescaped AJAX parameter
Published May 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in Enmanuel Corvo Visual Slide Box Builder 3.2.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to query the database. The vsbb_get_one AJAX action places the attacker-controlled idx parameter into an SQL statement without sanitization or escaping. A subscriber account is sufficient, and resulting database access remains bounded by the WordPress database user's permissions.
