Stored XSS via unneutralized navbar fields
Published Mar 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in MineWebCMS 1.15.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script in visitors' browsers through navbar links. Navbar add/edit forms accept crafted Link Name or URL values, and the home-page renderer emits the stored content without neutralizing HTML or JavaScript. Administrator access is required to save a payload, and execution occurs when another user loads the home page, exposing browser-accessible data and actions in that user's session.
