CVE-2022-1128

Cross-origin data disclosure via Web Share API

Published Jul 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Information disclosure in Google Chrome before 100.0.4896.60 on Windows allows remote attackers on the local network segment to leak cross-origin data. The Web Share API has an inappropriate implementation that processes crafted HTML in a way that permits cross-origin exposure. Exploitation requires a victim to load the crafted page, and the demonstrated consequence is data disclosure rather than configuration change or service interruption.
