Admin-level stored XSS via cookie-time output
Published May 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Code Atlantic Popup Maker before 1.16.5 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through a popup cookie setting. An administrator can store a crafted Cookie Time value because the Triggers cookie editor renders it without sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. Administrator privileges are required even when unfiltered_html is disabled, and the script runs when the vulnerable interface displays the saved value.
