Stored XSS via unsanitized user login values
Published May 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Bulk Edit and Create User Profiles before 1.5.14 allows remote authenticated users to run script in an administrator's browser. The Edit Users spreadsheet saves the Login Column value without sanitizing or escaping it and renders the stored value when the page reopens. Administrator access is required to save the payload, and execution requires a user to reopen the Edit Users page; the script then runs in that user's browser context.
