Stored script execution via unsanitized profile nickname
Published Mar 29, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in DolphinPHP 1.5.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject script through a profile nickname. The personal-settings handler stores the nickname POST parameter without adequate sanitization, and User Management renders it as executable markup. An authenticated user must save a crafted nickname and another user must open permission management, causing the script to run in that viewer's browser.
