Unauthenticated database manipulation via account parameter injection
Published Mar 29, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Microfinance Management System allows remote attackers to manipulate database data via account metadata parameters. Multiple request handlers incorporate customer_type_number, account_number, account_status_number, and account_type_number values into SQL statements without neutralizing SQL syntax. No authentication or user interaction is required; crafted values can read or alter application data and delay database processing.
