Unauthenticated administrative user manipulation via unchecked API
Published Oct 21, 2022 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Missing authorization in Aethon TUG Home Base Server before 24 allows remote attackers to create, modify, or delete administrative users. The api/v2/user endpoint accepts unauthenticated PUT and POST requests without an authorization check and grants new accounts administrative privileges by default. Network access to HTTP port 80 is sufficient, enabling Fleet Management Console takeover and deletion or modification of legitimate accounts.
