User redirection via backslash-normalized login destination

Open redirect in the Gitea login flow before 1.16.5 allows remote attackers to send users to an attacker-controlled site. RedirectToFirst accepts a redirect location beginning with slash-backslash; browsers normalize that prefix to two slashes and treat the remainder as an external host. Exploitation requires a user to follow the crafted login URL and authenticate, after which the redirect can support phishing or expose data sent to the destination.
