Unauthenticated SQL injection via AJAX search term
Published Jul 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in VarkTech Pricing Deals for WooCommerce 2.0.2.02 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute injected SQL via AJAX. The unauthenticated vtprd_product_search_ajax action inserts the term parameter into a SQL statement without sanitizing or escaping it. Any remote request reaching WordPress AJAX can trigger a time-based query that delays database processing, while broader data access depends on database privileges.
