Reflected XSS via unescaped current-page URL
Published May 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Themify PTB Search before 1.4.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a visitor's browser via a crafted URL. On a page or post containing a search form, the add-on inserts the current page URL into an HTML attribute without escaping attacker-controlled query text. Exploitation requires a visitor to open the crafted link, after which script runs in that site's browser context and can read or alter page data available to the visitor.
