Weak password requirements in Red Lion FlexEdge DA50N all versions allow remote attackers to gain administrative device access. The web interface and Linux accounts accept weak default passwords through HTTP(S), SSH, or Telnet authentication without enforcing replacement. Successful web access permits other passwords to be changed, while a Linux-account login can use su with the associated password to obtain root access.
