Administrator-gated blind SSRF via unvalidated image URLs
Published Apr 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SSRF in EXMAGE – WordPress Image Links before 1.0.7 allows remote authenticated users to send server requests to local URLs. Its image-by-URL path passes an administrator-supplied URL into a remote call without first applying wp_http_validate_url. Administrator access is required, and the blind response channel limits direct feedback while still allowing requests toward internal services.
