Stored XSS via unescaped IdP EntityID setting
Published Jun 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in miniOrange SAML IDP before 1.13.4 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to run browser scripts. The IdP EntityID / Issuer setting under IDP Metadata stores administrator-supplied markup without sanitizing it or escaping it on output. Exploitation requires an administrator on a site where unfiltered_html is disabled, such as WordPress multisite, and a later user interaction to render the stored payload.
