CVE-2022-1008Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator code execution via unchecked import upload

Published Apr 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Arbitrary file upload in OCDI One Click Demo Import before 3.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to place executable PHP files. The upload_manual_import_files_callback AJAX handler accepts a multipart content_file with a PHP filename as XML and stores it in the public WordPress uploads directory without an extension allowlist. Administrator access to the importer is required; requesting the stored PHP file executes it despite disabled FILE_MODS and FILE_EDIT controls.
