Reflected XSS via unescaped room parameter
Published Apr 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Elbtide Advanced Booking Calendar before 1.7.1 allows remote attackers to execute script through a crafted admin-page URL. The Seasons & Calendars administration page inserts the room query parameter into its response without sanitizing or escaping it. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to follow the crafted URL, after which the script runs in the WordPress origin and can access or alter data available to that session.
