CVE-2022-1000Network attack vector

Arbitrary file write via unsanitized upload path

Published Mar 17, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Path traversal in TinyFileManager before 2.4.7 allows remote authenticated users to write uploaded files outside the managed directory. The upload handler builds $fullPath from the request's fullpath value after replacing only literal ./ text instead of reducing the value to a basename. A writable target and a non-read-only authenticated session are required; successful exploitation creates or overwrites files reachable by the PHP process.
