Persistent account access via noninvalidated sessions
Published Mar 19, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Insufficient session expiration in Admidio before 4.1.9 allows remote authenticated users to retain account access after a password change. Password-change paths leave other database-backed sessions and automatic-login records intact instead of invalidating them. Exploitation requires an existing authenticated session, which remains usable for account access even after its associated password is replaced.
