Stored XSS via allowed OFD attachments
Published Mar 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in ShowDoc before 2.10.4 allows remote authenticated users to run script in another user's browser via an .ofd upload. AttachmentModel::isAllowedFilename treats .ofd as an allowed attachment extension, so uploaded active content is stored and later served without neutralization. An account able to upload attachments is required, and exploitation requires another user to open the file; script runs in that user's ShowDoc origin.
