CVE-2022-0961Network attack vector

Service interruption via unbounded post titles

Published Mar 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Denial of service in Microweber before 1.2.12 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt the application via an oversized post title. The PostRequest rules previously omitted a title-length limit, so the server accepted values beyond the 500-character boundary added by the patch. Access to the post-editing workflow is required; public evidence identifies service interruption but does not distinguish a hang from a crash.
