Stored XSS via unescaped configuration names
Published Mar 24, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Pimcore Data Hub before 1.2.4 allows remote authenticated users to run script when an administrator opens Datahub. ConfigController::buildItem returns a configuration name as tree-node text without HTML encoding, so saved markup reaches the admin interface. The attacker needs configuration access and an administrator must view the entry; script execution can expose the administrator's session cookie.
