CVE-2022-0953Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Admin-session script execution via raw query string

Published Apr 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Reflected XSS in Eli Scheetz Anti-Malware Security and Brute-Force Firewall before 4.20.96 allows remote attackers to run script in an admin browser. The GOTMLS_View_Quarantine admin page writes the raw QUERY_STRING into HTML without sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires an administrator to open a crafted URL in a browser that preserves the payload, giving the script access to browser-visible data and actions in that administrator session.
