Missing authorization in Sitemap by click5 before 1.0.36 allows remote attackers to modify arbitrary WordPress options through a REST endpoint. The click5_sitemap/API/update_html_option_AJAX handler updates requested blog options without authorization, CSRF checks, or a plugin-option allowlist. No authentication is required; changing registration and default-role settings enables creation of a new Administrator account and site takeover.
