Stored script execution via unsanitized tax type
Published Mar 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Microweber before 1.2.12 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser via tax type input. The shop/save_tax_item callback passes request data to TaxManager::save without the XSS middleware, allowing the type field to be stored without neutralization. Administrative access is required to save the payload, and a victim must view the stored tax data for the script to run in that browser.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
