Service interruption via unbounded checkout address fields
Published Mar 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Integer overflow in Microweber before 1.2.12 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via oversized checkout address fields. The shippingMethodSave method accepted unbounded city, ZIP, state, address, gateway, country, and other-info values and appended them to the checkout session. The checkout route requires no authentication, and oversized requests can exhaust application resources until checkout or the service becomes unavailable.
