Unauthenticated script execution via unescaped upload filename
Published Mar 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in Saturday Drive Ninja Forms File Uploads 3.3.12 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script via a filename. The uploads AJAX controller in includes/ajax/controllers/uploads.php returns the files filename parameter without sanitizing or escaping it. The upload endpoint accepts the filename without authentication, and a browser rendering the crafted response executes the injected script in the site's origin.
