Unauthenticated code execution via arbitrary PHP callback
Published Jun 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Code injection in N-Media MemberHero 1.0.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through a public WordPress AJAX action. The memberhero_send_form AJAX handler uses the request's _memberhero_hook value as a no-argument PHP function callback without validation or authorization. No account is required, and any reachable PHP function that needs no arguments can run in the WordPress server context.
